Edison’s career began in Barcelona, Spain, where she worked for eight years for Llongueras International, S.A. Reporting directly to CEO and Founder, Luis Llongueras, Edison was responsible for successfully launching international alliances, including sales and operations, in 13 countries.
Led by the vision and focus of Llongueras, her specialty evolved to launching joint ventures with an emphasis on co-branding. She became adept at quickly identifying & localizing winning elements while capitalizing on cultural differences in the target market.
Edison relocated to New York. Working freelance, she was hired to produce launch events, playing key roles for such notable companies as Continental Airlines, Calvin Klein and Revlon. She became known for her ability to create rapid-fire guerilla marketing programs, increasing profits for a wide range of consumer goods and services.
Based on the west coast of the US since 1992, Edison turned her attention to promoting innovative technologies. She found her contribution greatest when providing strategy & tactics for ground-up corporate positioning, branding and new market launches. From vision to operations to marketing to sales, she became known as “³the start-up fixer-upper.” At the height of the Tech boom, her galvanizing teamwork was instrumental in raising over US$53 million in venture capital.
The hallmark of her work with emerging technology companies was her focus on the instantaneous value of visual impact. Edison has art directed every visual element related to the promotion & sale of products and services. From logo development to packaging to POS materials to executive portraits, she thrives to create materials that can stand alone and silently sell.
Living and working in the Bay Area provided a logical bridge to include the world of entertainment. For 10 years, Edison developed image and branding presence for Warner Brothers, ABC and NBC. At WB-20 television Edison was involved in regular and on-location programming around the San Francisco Bay Area as part of the station’s team for new product TV spots, news footage and televised events. Through this affiliation, she aided in production that involved Bay Area locals ranging from Tracy Chapman to Stephan Jenkins to Carlos Santana.
The Webby Awards, the Oscars of the Internet, hired Edison to build their brand through securing the free judging services of 100 iconic individuals from around the world. In less that 4 months, Edison gained the attention and earned the “yes” of 100 individuals as far-reaching in their influence as Francis Ford Coppola, Guy Kawasaki, Larry Ellison, Meg Whitman, Deepak Chopra, Peter Guber, Robin Williams, Phil Bronstein and Sir Richard Branson.
